Why DFW Catholic Speed Dating exists and how it got started!

Many Catholic singles feel like online dating is their only option. But just like in the secular world, it often brings the same frustrations—ghosting, shallow conversations, and discouragement. Dating can start to feel hopeless, as if there’s no one out there who shares your values.

I experienced this firsthand after graduating from college. Without the built-in community of campus life, meeting new people—especially for dating—wasn’t easy. After prayer and reflection, I felt called to create an alternative: a space where Catholic singles could meet face-to-face, laugh, and have real conversations without screens and swipes.

So, in September 2024, I started hosting local Catholic Speed Dating events in Dallas-Fort Worth. It was clear after hosting the first event: Catholics were hungry for this kind of gathering. Since then, the events have continued to grow, giving singles a Christ-centered way to connect—and restoring hope that meaningful relationships are possible.
